For those who haven\u2019t penned any plans for their Christmas Party celebrations yet, they needn't worry as popular 9-piece band \u201850 Sh\u00eads of Lleucu Llwyd<\/a>' are returning to Canolfan S4C Yr Egin with their phenomenal Christmas show, \u201850 Sh\u00eads o Santa Cl\u00f4s' (50 Shades of Santa Claus). With live mash-ups and the biggest Christmas hits like you\u2019ve never heard before, this show will certainly get you in the festive spirit! On the vocals this year will be Sara Davies, Head of the Music Department at Ysgol Henry Richard, Tregaron, and none other than Gruffydd Wyn, the star of Britain\u2019s Got Talent, 2018<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0

Gruffydd won\u2019t have to travel far for this Christmas gig, as the Anglesey born singer has recently been appointed as Event and Project Co-ordinator at Canolfan S4C Yr Egin. Gruffydd studied a BA in Performance at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David here in Carmarthen and has since settled in the town. Gruffydd started working at Yr Egin in 2021, as a Customer Experience and Events Assistant and was recently promoted to his new role at the start of the month. The singer has a packed performing schedule, as well as his busy full-time job and says,\u00a0\u00a0

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to be singing with \u201850 Sh\u00eads of Santa Cl\u00f4s\u2019 for the first time! It will be a great experience. Christmas is always a busy time of year for me as a singer and this year is no different. I\u2019ll be travelling the length and breadth of the country, performing in Carmarthen, Aberystwyth, Rhyl (where I\u2019ll be switching on the town\u2019s Christmas lights!), Anglesey and Cardiff to name but a few locations. After what has been a challenging few years for the industry, it\u2019s great to be busy and back on the stage performing.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0

The \u201850 Sh\u00eads of Santa Cl\u00f4s' band was created and is kept in check by Rhys Taylor, a well-known Welsh Clarinet and multi reeds player, who is also a musical director. In the past, the band have performed mash-ups of festive hits by Mariah Carey, Slade, Caryl Parry Jones and The Pogues during their Christmas Cabaret-style evenings.\u00a0\u00a0
