‘Canolfan S4C Yr Egin appoint a General Manager to the centre’

Mae’n bleser gan Ganolfan S4C Yr Egin gyhoeddi fod Angharad Davies wedi ei phenodi yn Rheolwr Cyffredinol ar y ganolfan. Yn gyn-fyfyrwraig o Brifysgol Cymru y Drindod Dewi Sant yma yng Nghaerfyrddin, ac yn fwy diweddar yn Bennaeth Cynhyrchu gyda Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, sydd bellach wedi ymgartrefu yn Yr Egin, mae Angharad yn hen gyfarwydd â lleoliad ei gweithle newydd, ac mae’r Egin yn falch iawn o’i chroesawu i'r tîm.

Carys Ifan, Director of Canolfan S4C Yr Egin, says of Angharad's appointment,

"Angharad will be a great asset to Yr Egin and to the University, with her expertise, professionalism and infectious personality contributing to realizing the next step of the exciting vision, by further stimulating the creative industries in the region. I am really looking forward to working with her”

Originally from Aberaeron, Angharad has now settled in Peniel with her husband Alun, and her children Elsi Cêt and Ifan. Angharad studied a degree in Theatre, Music and Media at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, before going on to study a master's degree in Stage Management at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Angharad then worked all over the country with various theatre companies, before joining Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru in 2010.

Mae Angharad yn gyffrous am ei rôl newydd yma yn Yr Egin, ac fe ddywedodd am ei swydd fel Rheolwr Cyffredinol y ganolfan,

"I'm really looking forward to joining the great team at Yr Egin, and getting to know the people behind the creative companies and businesses that are based here.

As part of my job, I am very excited to develop and work together with Yr Egin's partners and tenants to spark creative imagination and nurture the talents of the future by engaging with the industry.

The Egin is a centre and a key creative hub for the West, as well as for Wales. I am very keen to continue serving and welcoming customers, audiences and an exciting cultural community to Yr Egin, to inspire and ignite social movements and various communities across the region. I look forward to seeing you at Yr Egin's café before long for a coffee and a chat!”

Dechreuodd Angharad yn ei rôl ar y 27ain o Chwefror ac mae hi wedi ei lleoli yma yng Nghanolfan S4C Yr Egin yng Nghaerfyrddin.
